1922 and then . . .

    Memories of Foxlease 1922-2022

Memories of Foxlease: everyone who has visited Foxlease has them. I have heard it said of old buildings: ‘If only these walls could talk’.  We do not need them to do so as we have records in the archives and, more importantly, we have peoples’ memories recorded and many of those are in a new special book we have made for the Centenary of Foxlease.  Hilary Jenkins compiled the book from reflections provided by Friends of Foxlease and reminds us all of the place we love.  Take a walk down memory lane and you may be reminded of your stay and perhaps learn something that you did not know.  Remember how things were and how they have changed.  Celebrating 100 years of Guiding at Foxlease in 2022, we can look forward to being together at the start of the next 100 years.   Funds raised from sales of this Centenary book are, of course, for Foxlease.

Friends of Foxlease celebrates its 60th anniversary next year and your committee has made a special A5 notepad for you to buy for yourself or maybe as a gift. 

The front cover is based on an historic Foxlease notebook and it contains a 50 page notepad PLUS a photo collage of Friends’ activities on the back cover.
